Attending AAAE and NATA’s conference in the US
June was a busy month for our team in the US. From 16-19 June we co-exhibited alongside Lightsource at the American Association of Airports Executives (AAAE) conference and exposition in Boston. The event provided a great opportunity for us to meet with various regional airports to discuss their needs related to fuel farm infrastructure investments and lower carbon solutions. As a result, we’ve identified some great opportunities with several airports including Boeing Field (officially King County International Airport) in Washington, Raton Municipal Airport in New Mexico and Eugene Airport in Oregon. Stay tuned to find out more!
From 17-19 June we also supported the 2019 NATA Aviation Business Conference in Washington DC. Joe McGregor, Air BP Americas commercial director, and Julio Casas, Air BP’s North America General Aviation director, were invited to participate in a one-on-one panel discussion on the future of sustainable aviation fuel and carbon credits.
Making connections in Cagliari
The sun shone brightly on Cagliari in Sardinia for the 16th Connect Networking Forum, which was held at the beautiful Bastione di Saint Remy. We were delighted to be supporting the event, which brought together over 600 aviation decision makers including more than 65 airlines and 250 represented airports to discuss current and future air transport links.
Look ahead to:
Excitement levels are rising for RIAT
The theme for this year’s Royal International Air Tattoo (RIAT), which will take place 19-21 July at Fairford in the UK, will be ‘Air & Space: Inspiring the next generation Air Force’. While the show has traditionally been dedicated to military operations, this year’s event will also feature rockets, astronauts and space-related entertainment, including a planetarium. British astronaut, Tim Peake, is even expected to be attending this year. We look forward to exploring beyond Earth’s atmosphere and to seeing you there.
All eyes on Oshkosh
Billed as the ‘World’s Greatest Aviation Celebration’ EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2019 will be taking place from 22-28 July at Wittman Regional Airport in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, US. More than 500,000 aviation enthusiasts from 80 countries are expected to attend. Daily air shows, aerobatics and pyrotechnics are all part of the fun and will take place alongside forums, feature films, workshops and demonstrations.
