Last month proved a busy period for us with several key events taking place.
We were delighted with the turn out at this year’s NBAA-BACE, which took place in Orlando, Florida from 16-18 October. More than 25,000 industry professionals attended this year, and we really appreciated so many of you popping by our stand to find out more about what we’ve been getting up to in North America, and in particular our lower carbon initiatives.
(RAAA’s) National Convention
This year’s Regional Aviation Association of Australia’s (RAAA’s) National Convention also saw its highest ever number of attendees. Highlights of the event, which took place from 24-26 October in Queensland on Australia’s Gold Coast, included the gala dinner and awards, as well as an Air BP sponsored Q&A session with Red Bull Air Race pilot, Matt Hall.
And last but not least, 23 October marked the first anniversary of Aviadoras – a Spanish initiative set up to increase visibility of women within the aviation sector, particularly pilots. The anniversary celebrations took place in Madrid and we were delighted to be one of the main sponsors, with five members of our team invited to join in the celebrations.
What’s more to celebrate Aviadoras’ anniversary, and in collaboration with RocketRoute, we are offering an exclusive FlightPlan Offer – 6 months free subscription to RocketRoute FlightPlan and a 25% discount on contracting services.
Some of the key issues highlighted during the anniversary celebrations included the need to raise the profile of female pilots as role models for school age children, as well as the need to increase the visibility of women in senior positions within the sector.

We look forward to seeing you at the following events in the coming weeks
We’re proud to be the official ‘carbon offset’ partner at the IATA Fuel Forum from 13-15 November at Raffles City Convention Centre in Singapore. A key date in the aviation fuel community’s calendar, the forum attracts airline representatives, fuel suppliers and strategic partners from around the globe to discuss the industry’s priorities and agree on actions to enhance efficiency and productivity.
Following on from its Fuel Forum, IATA is also hosting its Alternative Fuel Symposium at the Raffles City Convention Centre in Singapore from 15-16 November. Now in its fourth year, the event provides an important platform for industry professionals to interact with each other and be informed about the latest developments and insights from the market leaders in sustainable aviation fuel.
