With less than two months to the third edition of the largest civil aviation show in Poland -LOTOS Gdynia Aerobaltic – which takes place 16-18 August, excitement is already mounting. If you’re heading over to the show then Gdansk Lech Walesa Airport (GDN/ EPGD) is an ideal choice as it’s just over 30km from Gdynia.
The three-day event is a popular fixture in the Baltics’ aviation calendar with more than 500,000 people expected to attend. Highlights include impressive aerobatics from pilots from around the world, as well as a static display of aircraft including helicopters, a night-time display and Aeroexpo – an aviation fair that attracts manufacturers and distributors of aviation equipment.
But the big attraction at this year’s show is the invitation for general aviation pilots to participate in the first edition of Aerocamp. If you arrive in Gdynia with your own aircraft you can even opt to sleep at the airport camp and mingle with other pilots.
If you’re flying in to Gdynia-Kosakowo Airport directly, there’s no need to worry about refuelling either, as we will be supplying both Avgas and Jet A-1!
