Out and about

Say hello at EBACE

This year we will be joined by French Red Bull Air Race pilot Mika Brageot, who will be on hand for a Q&A session on Tuesday at 16.30.

The European Business Aviation Conference & Exhibition (EBACE) takes place in Geneva from May 29th to 31st and drop by to stand B29 to see how our latest digital technology can help both operators and airports alike and also see how we can assist you with your lower carbon goals. We will have representatives from across our European business to answer any queries you may have about our network and as we’re co-exhibiting with RocketRoute they’ll be there to discuss both MarketPlace and FlightPlan.

In addition, GlobeAir, London Oxford Airport, and Lydd Airport are joining us on the stand this year and will be on hand to discuss any requirements you may have.

Alongside our pilot interview, a drinks reception will take place on our stand on Tuesday 29th from 16:30 and 18:00. Please do join for some wine and nibbles! We look forward to seeing you there.

Red Bull Air Race update

Ever wondered what the differences are between flying a military aircraft and a raceplane? Click here to read an article on the topic featuring former Royal Australian Air Force Wing Commander Matt Hall and former RAF Red Arrows Team Leader Ben Murphy, both of whom now compete in the Red Bull Air Race World Championship.

Big congratulations to Australian pilot Matt Hall too – after this piece was put up online, he went on to secure a win in the first ever Red Bull Air Race in Cannes, France by just 0.072 seconds.

In case you need to catch up, the race weekend in Cannes, which took place from 20-22 April, was the second stop on the 2018 Red Bull Air Race calendar. Now, US pilot Michael Goulian is leading the overall standings with 24 points, followed closely by Matt Hall with 21 points. The current World Champion, Yoshi Muroya, is chasing hard in 3rd place going in to his home race with 19 points.

That means only one thing: The next race in Chiba, Japan from 26-27 May is set to be very exciting…

An amazing AERO 2018

We were delighted to see so many of you at our customer breakfast during AERO Friedrichshafen 2018. The show was exceptionally busy – we even saw a record number of fuellings at Bodensee Airport Friedrichshafen (FDH/EDNY) – and we enrolled plenty of new Sterling Card members. Thanks for helping us make AERO 2018 a great success!
