Supply and trading internships - UK

Each program is designed to give you maximum exposure to our trading business

Analytics summer internship

This will give you exposure to our front office business; from trading to market analytics, origination, and commercial development through to strategy.

Your internship will be a dynamic 11-week journey that will provide the ideal environment in which to start and develop a career analysing energy markets and the factors that drive them. During the programme, you will be assessed for your suitability for the analytics graduate scheme.

You should be on track for a minimum 2:1 undergraduate degree (or equivalent), have 128 UCAS points (or equivalent), with a B or above in Maths and be in your penultimate year of study or going on to a Masters or PhD.

All degree backgrounds will be considered  and we are looking for demonstrated interest in the traded markets. We support UK immigration sponsorship for this role.

Commercial one year internship

Based either in the Crude Knowledge Team or the Demurrage Team in Canary Wharf, London, you will gain real exposure to our trading environment.

As a Crude Oil Analyst intern, you’ll support BP’s Crude Oil Trading and Refinery Planning operations in a highly visible, operational role. Join the Demurrage team instead, and you will manage your own portfolio of demurrage claims and post fixture expenses on behalf of your trading bench.
