Beyond our existing responsibility for managing BP’s Shipping risks, we are required more and more to support our BP partners turn new opportunities into realities.
The commercial team comprises chartering, ethics and compliance, finance and a new business partnership team which acts as the interface with wider group to manage projects and strategic requests which come into BP Shipping.
Technical and vetting includes vetting and clearance, engineering, and two marine teams, one looking after oil and the other focusing on gas. A time charter relationship team manages the relationships with third party companies from whom BP time charters vessels.
The operations team manages operations for the BP operated fleet, holding safe operations at the forefront whilst driving our efficiency agenda and increased commercial rigour. Teams look after oil ships, gas ships and manage the crewing needs for BP Shipping’s operated fleet. The Procurement team manage the supply chain risks for our operated fleet.
The health and safety, environment and quality team relentlessly focuses on managing safety, risk management and regulatory requirements. Our Believe in Zero vision means no accidents, no harm to people and no damage to the environment and that everyone returns home healthy.
