AMPLY is looking for a Controller to join the team. As controller, you will be responsible for building out strong processes, performing critical finance operations and setting data and finance systems strategy. In this role you will collaborate closely with other departments and leadership to ensure business objectives are delivered. To be successful as the Controller, you should have experience with a range of accounting policy, financial processes and controls, and a passion for using financial information to deliver insights to the business.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Accounting and Reporting: Leads annual, quarterly, and financial reporting including application of accounting policy and support for investor queries. Ensures transactions are recorded with integrity, transparency and in a timely manner. Works with bp technical accounting team to ensure adherence to IFRS and bp accounting policy.
  • Financial Systems and Data: Utilize newly implemented Sage accounting systems to streamline financial process and improve transparency and insight into project and business profitability. Includes design of financial master data.
  • Operational Excellence: Build efficient processes and deliver reliable purchase-to-pay and order-to-cash operations, as well as oversight of tax and compliance processes.
  • External Interfaces: Lead interface for external audit, tax reporting. Support sales for financial customer requests.
  • Project Management: Plan and manage transition of payroll process to global service provider. Explore additional opportunities to adapt key processes as business scales.
  • Analysis and Business Insights: Use business analytics of financial information to guide leadership, including presentation of financial results and potential risks.
  • Control Environment: Implement strong, fit-for-purpose controls and scale as business grows.
  • Teamwork: Communicate clearly to collaborate with the organization to explain financial requirements, identify optimal ways of working. Our business is growing annually by multiples – will be required to build a team as needed.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 8+ Years of corporate finance and accounting experience
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Experience in the construction, engineering, or software industries
