Job summary

Responsible for managing regional direct sales activities, delivering the strategic plan to meet the business' growth aspirations and supporting the development of sales direct/B2B strategies to maximise profitability and Business to Business (B2B) sales opportunities. The scope of the role will influence the grade – this can include financial accountability, geographical scope, leadership responsibilities and overall level of responsibility.

The Territory Sales Manager will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong customer and channel partner relationships. As the Sales Manager, you will need to close sales pipelines and build programs that will drive market share leadership. You will drive a spectacular revenue ramp for the company with customers in the public and private transportation sectors (transit bus, school bus, truck, van, and electric car fleets) for your territory. To succeed, you must have a strong track record of sales growth, contracting experience, a keen eye for technical details, and a passion for delivering EV fleet charging and energy solutions.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure goals align with the overall sales strategy to improve penetration and growth of AMPLYs fleet charging solutions.
  • Own, develop, present, and manage RFI, RFP, and RFQ responses for AMPLY solutions related to business development or territory.
  • Prepare and conduct sales presentations, write reports, proposals, and price quotes for customers. Negotiates contracts and successfully closes deals.
  • Develop sophisticated commercial sales strategies focused on long-term business and growth in collaboration with the Head of Sales and Strategy, VP of Marketing, VP of Engineering, and our Principal Product Designer.
  • Provide effective communication and status updates to all internal and external partners.
  • Use Salesforce for managing and tracking accounts, leads, and sales opportunities.
  • Build and maintain knowledge of AMPLY Power’s product, customers, profitability trends, competitor activities, funding opportunities, and general market intelligence.
Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree required; advanced degree preferred
  • Minimum 5 - 8 years of experience in sales or business development roles preferably in the solar, energy storage, or EV industries
  • Deep analytical skills and facility with sophisticated sales and partnership concepts
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills with internal and external customers.
  • Ability to develop and hold high-level relationships and negotiations with customers.
  • Experience with EV automotive, energy, or solar industry, preferred.
  • Willingness to travel as needed
  • Knowledge of contracts strongly preferred.
