At bp, we are continuing to perform whilst we transform.

We are recruiting a number of full-time, permanent agile roles to help us improve our business agility, through a combination of coaching, better practices, attention to metrics and direct assistance.
You will be a practitioner and a passionate advocate of agile practices that lives by agile values and tackles new challenges with an agile mind-set.

The Agile Coach is a key role in supporting our Agile Journey and is responsible for crafting, aligning and promoting new practices and methodologies across various levels of the organisation and to help teams continuously improve how they work.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Be a role model for agile practices within the organisation, ensuring that all stakeholders understand the agile philosophy and the part they need to play to contribute to success.
  • Facilitate learning and development through individual team coaching, trainings, and workshops on Agile principles and values within the department.
  • Support creating agile transformation roadmaps, driving stronger and deeper agile understanding and results throughout the organisation with defining outcomes
  • Coach and mentor teams to conduct continuous learning and improvement activities.
  • Share innovative practices across platforms to drive continuous improvements using different techniques as appropriate
  • Practitioner in all things agile, active member of the global agile community

About you:
  • Proven understanding of and hands-on experience with a range of agile frameworks, methods, and tools (e.g., OKR, Scrum, Kanban, Design Thinking) and their application to a varied range of contexts.
  • Ability to communicate effectively well within team, across teams and in larger community of practice, facilitate difficult discussions and agile ceremonies.
  • Open minded team player with excellent situational and cultural awareness.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity, highly autonomous
  • Ability to think strategically and holistically: understand the bigger picture, analyse complex problems, and quickly evaluate options to meet business expectations.
  • Experience in driving organisational change at a team, domain, and leadership level
