Job summary

Grade IResponsible for supporting retail operations through managing local pricing of fuels to ensure adherence to pricing tactics and margin models, executing pricing processes and maintaining pricing tools and databases to provide analysis and reporting in order to optimise overall margin and volume performance.

Here is a great opportunity to join our high-performing Midstream team and really sink your teeth into a dynamic, analytical and commercial role where you’re given the room to make a real difference to the card pricing for BP’s ‘BP Plus’ fuel card offer across our network.

In this role you’ll perform robust and rigorous analysis but also be able to switch gears and seamlessly put on a commercial hat, followed by using your strong stakeholder management suite of skills. Effectively, you will business partner with a range of stakeholders to enable BP Plus card to be a successful and optimsied offer to our significant B2B customer portfolio.

BP Plus card is a valued tool giving our B2B customers access to our huge national network and ensuring that they are able to keep moving the people and products they need to run their businesses. BP Plus offers customers access to of 1,400 sites across Australia, flexible payment terms, online account monitoring, access to our premium fuels and peace of mind.

The role’s core focus areas are analysis of trends, profitability, the competitive environment and providing insight to business partners to deliver leading offers to our customers so you’ll be utilizing both your analytical skills and building your stakeholder engagement and influencing skills. You’ll have the chance to work with a broad range of business areas and gain a holistic view of our business and challenges.

Further responsibilities include:
Deeply understand market conditions and competitor pricing behaviour for each location and customer segment.
Ensure accuracy of all cost information which is factored into pricing decisions.
Provide direct input / support for all pricing tenders and day-to-day pricing requirements.
Identify, evaluate and capture opportunities to improve margin performance in line with the Wholesale Pricing strategy.
Perform pricing studies and analysis for the business as required.
Help to establish and refine metrics to monitor and report delivery of targets and to promote continuous improvement.
Ensure rigorous application of pricing policies both within the Wholesale Pricing team and across the sales force.
