Business Insights Senior Analyst!

In this role you will:
  • Create and own report and dashboard portfolio across all Customer functions (Fuels, Lubes, Cash) and all levels of performance reporting (Strategic, Tactical and Operational)
  • Ensure consistency in both data/metrics as well as visual language across the reporting portfolio
  • Drive the development of standardised reporting where possible to achieve consistency and efficiency in Customer and provide consistent reporting to management
  • Explore and implement advanced BI functionality focusing on UX, interactivity, what-if analysis and forecasting
  • Explore and pilot new technologies/processes in data visualization and analytics
  • Produce core performance reports for key stakeholders to an agreed schedule, including daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual business, sales, performance, and adherence reports
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement within the Reporting and Insights team, and drive the implementation of these changes
  • Manage deadlines and ensure that all activities in the related field, that directly affect internal or external customer relationships or the outputs of the Customer teams are of the highest quality
  • Actively participate in internal and external Reporting and Visual Storytelling communities, collect, implement and share best practices
  • Carry out ad-hoc studies and analysis to support specific initiatives
We have the following requirements:
  • Relevant degree or equivalent experience
  • 2-3 years Reporting / BI experience
  • 3-5 years of experience working in a Service Centre environment
  • Fluency in English
  • Strong knowledge of BI Tools (Power BI preferred with a fundamental understanding of DAX and filter context)
  • Understanding of database concepts: tables, joins, filters, SQL basics
  • Able to visualize complex datasets and metrics to support GBS leadership
  • Excellent grasp of BI Tools (Power BI, Business Objects, Advanced Excel, SAP BW etc.)
  • Able to deliver innovative and creative solutions to visual storytelling challenges
  • Able to research and analyse a problem to provide solution options
  • Able to scope, plan and manage low to medium complexity development projects
  • Able to prioritise, handle urgent issues and situations, following through to resolution in a timely manner and focusing efforts to deliver business value, escalating properly if needed
  • Able to manage conflicting work issues and deadlines to ensure deliverables are met and knows when to escalate
  • Able to solve high complexity problems using own initiative and influencing skills
  • Able to communicate effectively with all levels of in the organisation
  • Able to actively promote a positive team environment and build networks effectively to enhance and share knowledge
