Responsible for managing a team and delivering Engineering Leadership through provision of technical expertise to projects or operations, including maintenance, inspection and turnaround, recommendation of technical solutions and management of engineering studies and risk assessments, driving integrated and pragmatic solutions, whilst assisting in implementing engineering technical practices for the business to advance the technical integrity of assets.

In this role You will:
  • Deploy and manage the Manufacturing Excellence (CIM/MAX) Programme for the EMEA operations, based on a loss recovery pipeline versus ideal state operations with particular focus on
    • Efficiency and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE)
    • Productivity improvements in direct and indirect labour
    • Reduced Cost of Goods through material waste reduction (war on waste)
    • Reliability : High production schedule adherence
  • Lead improvement projects based on the principles of TPM (AM/PM) and Lean
  • Define, gatekeep and implement the Operational Excellence masterplans in all sites to achieve 2025 cpl targets,
  • Monitor progress by means of dashboards, Tier1 KPI’s and periodic site visits
  • Spare partner for Site Directors and coach Local Operational Excellence Experts
  • Develop, track, trend, the Manufacturing KPI dashboard to enable effective review of the operational performance of plants that supports identification of opportunities for improvement as part of the masterplans
  • Lead business case development for all the efficiency/productivity capital investment requests
  • Participate and support Global Supply Chain Manufacturing Excellence networks (MAX)
  • Participate in cross-functional teams to analyze and implement continuous improvement opportunities in conjunction with changes occurring within other functions of the supply chain
  • Facilitate the monthly reporting on the progression plans as part of the performance cycle in collaboration with the Plant manager and the “Site MAX/CIM Champion”

We have the following requirements:
  • Recognized university degree in supply chain management, engineering or production operations
  • 10 years of experience in plant Operations Leadership and and proven track record of TPM/Lean/CI concepts and techniques
  • Experience in leading an operational excellence program (ideally in an FMCG environment)
  • Experience in change management
  • Advanced stakeholder management skills (Ability to engage numerous different level stakeholders),
  • Confidence in financial evaluation of projects
  • Coaching and inspiring a remote non-hierarchical network
