Job summary

Responsible for managing a team to drive supply chain performance that supports regional plans and wider strategies, building an optimized supply network and managing risk to ensure sufficient supply of goods and products, whilst assuring all supply chain activities are compliant with the relevant risk and quality standards, processes and procedures.

Purpose of Role

This role is to secure continuous supply for JV with the best price, best quality product and diligent service, achieve maximum Buy-Sell Differential and at the same time lead the stock balance and the fuel sales

Optimise fuel supply opportunities within the Guangdong market by optimizing the supply chain via secondary logistics, terminal network and potential supply chain improvements that accrue from the new PC Guangdong refinery.

Key Results/ Accountabilities

  • Work with the Supply & Distribution Director to frame the supply distribution plan and strategy in accordance with the JV strategy.
  • Achieve maximum Buy-Sell differential through foresee and judge the market in a timely manner.
  • Secure the fuel supply to sites through knowing the effects on the logistics from policy changes, and supply performance of vendors which includes both refinery terminal and vehicle. In accordance with JV HSE policy/guideline, monitor vendors’ transportation safety performance as well, to avoid all kinds of accident.
  • Drive the continuous optimization on cost management, e.g. lower fuel loss rate and lower transport cost.
  • Work with shareholders (bp and PC) to ensure Ultimate fuel quality and supply meeting the company standard and requirements.
  • Develop the Wholesale business opportunity within the Guangdong market by working with PC Guangdong and the bpPC operations department.
  • Establish constructive relationship with relative departments and customers.
  • Balance the short term and long-term benefits from not only financial perspective, but also from brand reputation, Ethic & Compliance and relationship management.
  • Support on ad hoc JV strategy transformation projects which assigned.
  • Develop JV team capabilities and build a balanced talent pipeline in his responsible scope.

Educational background

  • Bachelor degree+, qualified in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business or related field.

Experience

  • 10+ years of relevant business experience, retail industry is preferable.
  • A good track record in leading a diverse team, JV management experience would be highly regarded.
  • Proven experience in logistics management, and B2B business experience like wholesale/trading is preferred.
  • Strong personal influencing and relationship management skills, capable of dealing with a joint venture organization, experienced in dealing with partnerships both internally and externally and with people of different levels.
  • Good financial understanding, budget management, cost control and performance management.
  • Track record of achieving strong results.
  • Proficient in English speaking and writing.
