Digital Innovation Analyst

We are looking for a digital innovation analyst to work in a team of highly motivated design thinkers, innovation coaches, service designers and product owners across many of bp’s business units including ‘Customers and Products’ and ‘Regions, Cities & Solutions’. You will contribute to new and innovative solutions and have experience of a variety of emerging technologies and innovation frameworks.

We apply a more strategic approach to innovation through bp’s connected innovation framework and provide dedicated resources to help teams ideate, qualify, and incubate ideas at every stage along the
innovation funnel.

Our teams are made up of a powerful mix of digital strategists, business analysts, innovation coaches, service designers, scrum masters, developers, and data scientists.
Connected innovation is bp’s key initiative for crowdsourcing ideas, enabling bp employees to share their ideas, big and small, that could revolutionize bp, bringing new and exciting digital ways of working and
competitive advantage to our business groups.

Reporting to: Senior Digital innovation Lead, innovation management, digital customers and markets, Innovation & Engineering

ROLE:

We are looking for a digital innovation analyst to help select problems/opportunities worth tackling and conducts customer validation, solution ideation, prototype testing to develop customer-centric business
ideas. This person combines user research, usability, design, and various innovation methodology expertise to generate new disruptive products.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• User research
• Lead rapid innovation workshops to stimulate idea development
• Support the qualification of ideas and ensure a timely throughput of innovation through the pipeline
• Champion use of existing tools and capabilities such as ‘Innovation in a Box’
• Manage market and competitor analysis
• Engage with external partners to stimulate the creation of new concepts
• Engage with delivery teams working on Proof of Values (POVs) and ensure alignment to original goals and business outcomes

• You have a good knowledge of methods around Design Thinking and service design process (User Research & Test, Workshops, User Journeys, Personas, Design Thinking) and how to apply them
• You also have experience on business analysis techniques (Design Governance, Maturity Assessments, Feasibility Assessments, Gap Analysis, Business Cases, Capability and Capacity Assessments, etc.)
• You have excellent communication skills
• You work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment.
• You are skilled in MS Office and familiar with agile PM platforms (Atlassian, ADO etc.) and online facilitation tools (Mural, Miro etc)
• You have experience in leading small teams
• You are familiar working in enterprise environments especially with consumer facing industries and in the energy industry
• You are experienced in agile methods like Scrum and Kanban and fine to work in complex & long-term engagements directly interacting with senior client stakeholders.
• You have strong written and verbal communication skills in your country language and English.
