Job summary

Role synopsis

  • The Digital Product Specialist plays a critical role in maintaining and improving our digital assets in support of the Global and Americas Performance Unit agenda. Digital is a key part of the bp strategy that will continue to evolve to ensure Castrol creates value for our customers and business.
  • While this role may support other digital assets, it will be primarily focused on Salesforce and Streetview for the Americas, including driving continuous improvement, and ensuring system stability. This role will work with the Salesforce network of Digital Specialists across each global performance Unit to share standard processes, lead pipeline of user stories, co-develop future requirements, and drive deployment of new functionality.
  • This role is essential in supporting our sales organization to optimize utilization, while improving lead generation to support new growth opportunities.
  • Additionally, it supports Streetview (proprietary Castrol Americas platform) which is the central component of managing sales territories, external leads, and our rewards programs as well as market intelligence data used for prospecting.
  • This role works in partnership with users in the Americas performance unit, digital product managers, and I&E to ensure that user stories from the business are built into the backlog and deployed appropriately in the Americas market. As the business requirements and digital eco-system evolves, the Digital Product Specialist helps to identify the need for new digital products.
  • This role drives the evolution of our digital platforms to be competitive in advancing our digital agenda and growth of the business, and ensures the application creates a positive user and customer experience.

Key Accountabilities

  • Understand business requirements and digital portfolio
  • Assure operational excellence and positive user experience for Salesforce and Streetview
  • Ensure Salesforce and Streetview application performance
  • Create innovative advancement pipeline of opportunities to integrate Salesforce across Sales, Customer Service, and Operations
  • Monitor and work with key stakeholder network to drive usage of Salesforce and Streetview
  • Key member of cross functional Digital Americas team, accountable for managing digital roadmap activities
  • Provide insights emerging from the application to drive decision making and interventions
  • Work with users to develop and maintain prioritized backlog of user stories for enhancements
  • Work with global Product Owners and I&E to deploy agreed user stories in the form of product features
  • Understand bp guidelines, digital security and financial frameworks and processes to recommend the right approach for delivering the required solution

Essential Education:

  • High School Diploma

Essential Criteria:

  • Digital system support experience
  • Process simplification experience
  • Understanding of agile work practices, analytics, change implementation planning and management and continuous Improvement
  • Digital Fluency

Desirable Criteria:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Salesforce or other CRM experience
How much do we pay?
