Job summary

Responsible for providing Control & Automation expertise to projects or operations, including maintenance, inspection and turnaround, proactively interacting with other disciplines, teams, subfunctions and contractors to systematically resolve problems and applying sound engineering judgement to drive integrated, pragmatic solutions focused on risk management, operating efficiency, defect elimination and standardisation.

Role Summary

  1. Delivers digital safe, compliant and reliable operations, contributing to the HSSE performance goals of the business
  2. Identifies operational issues, vulnerabilities, gap closure and proposes options and solutions, working with experienced staff use automation and digital concept;
  3. Delivers digital and technology packages in a manufacturing setting
  4. Works as part of plant LT team to support BP manufacturing sites in achieving safe, compliant, reliable and profitable operations
  5. Develops and uses process engineering models, leveraging data for understanding impact upon current and future commercial design
  6. Builds capability within site staff for digital (including training and shift operations) Operates across functional

Key Accountabilities
  1. To set up the whole digital strategy for plant on engineering and maintenance activities, including budget, Capex plan, launch new project, introduce new facilities.
  2. To lead digital team to conduct routine equipment inspections, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, emergency repair; deliver performance within budget and schedule objectives; Manage the utility and maintenance spending on effective, economic way, Improve spare parts reliability and utilization.
  3. Take part in suitable PHA, Hazop, and NNBPP that carried out by competent person or area owner, regular review these process. Ensure all existing equipment, facility and new construction following local government requirements.
  4. Make out equipment BCP plan; include machine recover, spare parts, and people capability emergency plan.
  5. Ensure that the engineering aspects of all engineering related temporary and permanent changes are risk assessed and managed. Assistant preparation of plant FM CAPEX, especially IM related items.
  6. Maintain all facility specific Technical Standards, SOPs, P&IDs and as-built drawings so they are up to date, accurate and accessible.
  7. Share BP digital standards, IM, ETP other engineering knowledge to plant team,
  8. Give STP and engineering technical training to supervisor and maintenance team, support them have a high capability to identify risk.

  • Have digital knowledge and skills;
  • Have more than 5 years digital projects management experience;
  • Have the capability to manage yearly revex spend plus capex spend, support lubes blending plant reach yearly output target;
  • Have capability to manage digital system.
  • Extensive practical experience in maintenance management
  • Proficiency in conducting failure analysis and in the use of root cause investigation techniques.
  • Good communicator and team worker with the ability and willingness to work closely with broad teams.
