Job summary

Responsible for driving change and progress around Diversity and Inclusion (D&I)/Employee & Industrial Relations (E&IR) by carrying out detailed analysis to provide key insights that support the delivery and communication of strategies, providing advice, ensuring best practice, participating in D&I events and helping to ensure total compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

Role Synopsis

This is a high-paced role, ideal for a motivated performer to be part of a small dynamic team.

Our team is accountable for BP's Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DE&I) agenda across the Asia Pacific region; specifically, the delivery of our DE&I framework of Transparency, Accountability and Talent.

In this role you will be tagged to work across several countries and work closely with BP's businesses in the region as well as support our Business Resource Groups (BRGs).

Reporting to the Diversity and Inclusion Manager, you’ll have the opportunity to make a difference, bring your passion and diversity of thought to bp and be part of a team where you can learn, develop and perform to your fullest potential.

Key Accountabilities

  • To improve representation and equality of minority groups across the AsPac region through working in partnership with business leaders and people and culture teams
  • Support the implementation of local DE&I plans to underpin the global framework for action
  • Provide data and insight to measure progress and advise plans and priorities
  • Engage with and support local DE&I BRGs
  • Support the delivery of education strategies
  • Support the development of high potential ethnic minority individuals
  • Act as a consultant to underrepresented groups across the region
  • Represent BP at external events to build networks, presence and standard methodology

Essential Education:

  • Educated to degree level

Essential Experience and Job Requirements:

  • Experience working in a similar role either in People and Culture/or HR team
  • Understanding of the diversity and cultural nuances across the Asia Pacific region
  • Proven ability to facilitate education and lead training
  • Use data driven insights to communicate strategy
  • Ability to implement initiatives for scale and sustainability
  • A persuasive communicator with ability to guide, mentor, and encourage others
  • Effective relationship builder and networker
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • High level of cultural competence, self-awareness and emotional intelligence
