bp has an accelerated EV and convenience growth strategy in Europe. It is anticipated that more than 70% of the growth footprint will be outside the existing retail forecourts. This requires us to rapidly access new sites at pace and scale across Europe to support the EV business (bp pulse) growth plans over the next decade.

The role of the EV Network Planning Manager Central Cluster:

Be responsible for implementing and monitoring the strategic and tactic drivers for the Assets Portfolio Organization, including coordination and development/update of country Market Plans. It is also accountable for the development of integrated approaches to network planning across real estate organization (common tools, systems and approaches) to improve standardization, simplification and effectiveness.
Provide relevant and up to date network planning analysis to support the commercial investment decisions on real estate acquisitions and EV infrastructure at country level.

Key accountabilities:

  • Ensuring the right level of alignment between Strategy drivers and implementation plans.
  • Support delivery of the annual strategic plan and processes defined for EV real estate growth at country level.
  • Undertake real estate modelling to assess suitability of locations based on the latest network plan and strategy, working in conjunction with the Europe Network Strategy and Planning Manager
  • Usage of network planning tools to undertake real estate evaluations
  • Identify strategic insights into EV network development that are critical to improving our asset infrastructure and ultimately the financial performance of bp pulse and the growth of customers.
  • Provide input to the finance teams and ensure the correct translation of the strategy into the annual business plan process, including input into real estate growth pipeline/ hopper in line with the strategy.
  • Supporting the preparation of required decision documents such ATNs/EFMs/SFMs
  • Proactively assess business development opportunities at country level
  • Provide competitive landscape analysis to gain insights into trends and changes
  • Act as a source of analytical expertise in several areas ranging from investment decisions, economical evaluation, and financial understanding of the EV business
  • Support market entries PL, AT, LUX and party NL
  • Take care about the data base in Power apps
Education:
  • Degree in Economics / Business Administration or equivalent
Essential experience:
  • At least 5 years’ commercial analytical experience, preferably related to retail markets or real estate
  • A good understanding of establishing business infrastructure networks
  • Strong financial modelling and analytical skills and the ability to interpret data sets
  • Experience in supervising data projects
  • Strong experience in data base management tools
  • Fluency in German and English
Desirable criteria:
  • Strong performance biased team player that easily network across bp & Aral pulse
  • Strong networking skills and relationship building within country and central teams
