bp has an accelerated EV and convenience growth strategy in Europe. It is anticipated that more than 70% of the growth footprint will be outside the existing retail forecourts. This requires us to rapidly access new sites at pace and scale across Europe to support the EV business (bp pulse) growth plans over the next decade.

The role of the Real Estate Manager – Central Cluster is to:

Play a key role in delivering the overall EV Real Estate network strategy across the cluster (Germany, Poland, Austria) for bp pulse/ bp aral. Ensure that the entire network delivers the bp pulse and mobility and convenience goals, in both sustaining the network and growing the customer base. The role reports to the central cluster GM and dotted line accountability to the Real Estate Director for Europe.

Key accountabilities:

  • Undertaking and overseeing key real estate transactions and negotiations, all in line with bp pulse/ bp aral network strategy and plans, including bp’s safety policy, code of conduct and defined commercial protocols and financial framework.
  • Manage a small team of Real estate professionals encompassing setting clear goals and performance targets, motivating the team, and enhancing commercial and technical development.
  • Developing a strong commercial relationship with the external real estate market, developers, and landowners.
  • Implement the Market and Network Plans that is developed by the Network Planning and Strategy Manager and associated teams.
  • Oversee the application of necessary permits and other planning application requirements.
  • Support the ownership and preparation of all the business cases and FMs of all asset related projects, in conjunction with the network planning and analysts.
  • Participate actively in Post Project Reviews to ensure the delivery of the FMs targets, agree action plans and extract lessons for future projects.
  • Support capex and Revex Control that have been established for all asset related projects within bp pulse/ Aral pulse
Education:
  • Degree in Economics / Business Administration/ Property Management/ Engineering or equivalent
Essential experience:
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in the Real Estate sector: network planning, administration procedures and standards
  • Experience in supervising and challenging real estate transactions
  • Experience in people management and coaching
  • Sound understanding of the EV charging and retail business is desirable
  • Budget management
  • Strong performance biased team player that easily network across bp pulse
  • Strong networking skills and relationship building within country and central teams across C&P
  • Fluency in German and English
