Job summary

Our graduate development program is known as the Challenger program. As a Challenger with us, you’ll explore new areas and work on resolving real-world problems. We put development at the heart of this program by providing you the opportunity for technical coaching, regular feedback and mentorship, global and local networks, and modern learning solutions. Though the P&O Challenger role is not rotational by nature, the focus is to enrich and deepen your learning and expertise.

As an Electrical Engineering Challenger in Controls & Automation, you will:

  • Enable a relatively small number of operators to have full control of the manufacturing plants, including oil & gas production sites such as oil rigs

  • Optimize production and improving safety by making continuous suggestions to process control, as well as designing and maintaining the integrated control and safety systems (ICSS) that house these controls

  • Lead the Subsea control systems for our facilities used in both shallow and deep-water offshore installations

Are you ready to ignite your potential with BP?

Taking on the role as an Electrical Engineering Challenger in Controls & Automation means being able to continuously execute and improve your performance. Alongside a strong degree in a technical field, such as electrical engineering or a closely related degree, that means having a passion for problem-solving, a sharp eye for detail, and the desire to work with a diverse team.

Essential Criteria of the role. What the candidate must bring to the table to be considered.

  • 3.2 GPA

  • In your final year or have just graduated
