About the role:

The Field Services Coordinator is responsible for assuring the safe delivery of quality, value for money facilities maintenance services across the BP network, whilst building and maintaining strong relationships with regional BU and site stakeholders.
You will provide operational and field-based support to the Regional Facilities Lead to deliver site maintenance services through both direct and indirect service providers. The Field Services Coordinator will establish and sustain constructive, collaborative relationships with service providers, and ensure BP assets and facilities are maintained to BP specifications and any relevant quality, compliance, or regulatory standards.

Key accountabilities –

  • Be a safety leader for delivery of maintenance and facilities management services
  • Issue Safe Work Permits and provide regular review/oversight of contractor Workplace Clearance Group (WPCG) clearance forms and minimum control checklists.
  • Regular (daily) review and triaging of work order requests for the QLD region, monitoring the status of high priority work orders to minimise costs and impacts to the business.
  • Have a working knowledge of practical building trades’ practices and use this knowledge engage contractor teams in ensuring works are conducted safely and to a high quality.
  • Review quotations and scopes of work to ensure good value for money.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with regional business teams, site stakeholders and service providers.
  • Monitor and assure service provider performance against safety, service, quality, and compliance expectations and KPIs; coach where required. Contribute to regional service provider meetings and reviews
  • Conduct regular field audits of site and asset condition. Provide review and feedback on planned maintenance schedules to ensure compliance with BP and Australian regulations.
  • Report, support and investigate incidents as required.


About you:
As the successful candidate you will have –
  • Trade background with facilities management experience or Tertiary qualification in a technical discipline (Engineering, Quantity Surveying, etc).
  • Trade qualification – Any technical discipline
  • Demonstrated leadership and engagement across a geographically dispersed network and team
  • Working knowledge of safety and operational risk management
  • Experience in solving technical problems – ad hoc trouble shooting

  • Contract Management – Highly desirable
  • Performance & Risk Management – Desirable
  • Maintenance Planning & Scheduling - Highly desirable
  • General knowledge of building, mechanical and electrical assets – Skillful
  • Knowledge of Retail Fuels Assets and Australian Petroleum industry standards – Highly Desirable
  • Application of the Australian Standards, Dangerous Goods Code and Hazard and Risk identification and control capability – Awareness
