Job summary

Responsible for exploring and developing new business opportunities, managing the successful development of offers, building strong and effective relationships with appropriate partner/supplier contacts and project managing specific elements of strategic projects, whilst exercising a sound combination of commercial and technical rigor to help achieve BP's growth objectives.

Key Accountabilities:

Strategy & Planning
  • To explore and establish the fleet business for China
  • Think creatively to generate new fleet opportunities for the business
  • Complete, monitor and evaluate activities to ensure that quality goals e.g. reliability goals are constantly being met, developing best practices
  • The role is a critical part of the growth strategy of the business, as the Fleet charging business has been identified as a growth market and a strategic priority for bp
  • Lead new business development in the B2B space overall for bp’s Electrification business in China. This includes strategy development for the B2B space
Partnership Development & Execution
  • Engage with car OEM related fleet business & leasing companies to build influence and business opportunities
  • Seek for other fleet partnerships and lock into bp as the solution provider
  • Development of detailed execution plans and priorities to meet major business goals
  • Contribute to building a portfolio of options that provide short, medium and long-term commercial benefit for bp. Own the planning and execution of launching and handling new B2B business opportunities with the strive to build for future scale
  • Identify and negotiate major fleet customers for bp’s charging/battery swap solutions
Core Team Capabilities Development
  • The incumbent will also get along with the commercial teams across the business and will cultivate the development of partnerships with other departments and functions
  • Establish the ‘central of expertise’ of fleet management and understanding of fleet customer needs
  • Collaborate closely with bp core team and bpxj JV to get alignment for future potential collaboration on services and products
  • Lead sales of complex depot charging solutions and their installation at customer locations
  • Share best practice from other competitors
  • Strengthen employee alignment, performance and engagement, culture and leadership
  • Ensure measures are in place to support the health, safety & care for front-end team

Education and background

  • University degree in business administration, economics, engineering or comparable education with MBA preferred
  • At least 5+ years’ experience
  • Highly advanced knowledge of EV charging technology and detailed understanding of the operation and structures of charging networks and how they are coordinated is preferred
  • Broad and deep professional experience in the EV charging / EV charging infrastructure space and related energy management (load management, smart charging, V2G, Microgrid etc …).
  • Strategic and analytical thinking – comfortable using analytics to identify market movement, competitiveness and influence decision making to help refining internal strategy
  • Excellent negotiation skills, ability to find creative solutions to resolve deadlock
  • Developing partnerships and joint ventures, contractual and negotiating experience
  • Ability to streamline internal strategy and communicate with senior management directly to gain supports
  • Drives value-adding solutions - driven to build solutions to business problems. Track record of continuous improving/contributing
