The security function works to understand threats, assess risk and manage security barriers to ensure bp’s business activity can be conducted safely and securely. The Security Technology and Asset Senior Manager (STASM) will deliver: leadership, optimisation and oversight of security technology and workplace projects globally.
We are looking for someone to lead a portfolio of projects, to ensure security technology is effectively integrated into bp’s operations. To deliver long-term planning efficiencies, you will collaborate with the wider ISC network across all operating regions. The position will be an integral part of the Security Operations Leadership Team and report directly to the VP of Security.
Key Accountabilities:
We lead on Security Technology Systems and provide expertise across the ISC team as they implement technology driven projects in their respective regions. In particular, work with other teams delivering global projects such as Workplace Modernization and ensure appropriate bp security input.
We have the chance to create an Internet of Things (IoT) security network protocol and drive implementation to ensure Cyber Operating risk is properly handled. We will do this by implementing Technical Security Policies, Standards and Guides, to ensure a consistent approach across ISC.
Our aim is to recruit and develop a dedicated security technology team to ensure bp has the right capability to deliver security technology projects. We will build proficiency and capability across ISC by defining your team and helping them to deliver!
We want to maintain strategic relationships with security integrators, and other security professionals in both private and public sectors. You will forecast and manage multi-million dollar capital and operating budgets to ensure technology projects are funded appropriately.
Identify risks, makes threat assessments, conduct technical security assessments, physical security designs, technical security integration and review security risk management programs.
You will have close interaction with lead Security personnel across major campuses (including in the US and UK), build positive relationships and work successfully with multiple partners across different cultures. Operating with little direction and proposing changes where needed, you will enjoy interacting and communicate well with senior management and external parties.
Essential Education:
We would like you to have a bachelors degree or equivalent experience. It's critical you can speak and write English to a native standard with an emphasis on persuasive writing.
