Every year, bp’s Customers & Products businesses generate significant value for the Group through refining oil and gas and supplying our customers with the fuels they need. The bp Group looks to our high-performing fuels, lubricants and petrochemicals businesses to provide strong cash generation through premium products, powerful brands and supply and trading.
Customers & Products entity is a dynamic part of bp. Join us as a Commercial Graduate and you will help to support us to maximise value, grow cash flow and make the best use of our assets and investments. We will support you to ensure you have everything needed to understand the commercial aspects of our business. We want you to be in the best position to propose new and creative ways to maximise value.
Roles and responsibilities
Over the course of the programme you will complete rotations across our C&P businesses a mixture of customer facing, operational and analytical roles, in areas such as Sales and Marketing, Supply & Retail. You could be handling retail petrol station territories or preparing business cases for improved supply contracts or even evaluating strategic improvements to meet our customers’ needs better. As part of bp, you will also be able to take part in additional activities outside of your role, whether it be supporting local community initiatives, our bp Business Resourcing Groups and you are given the encouragement and time to participate.
Duties and responsibilities
The precise nature of your role will be defined by your skills as well as the needs of the business, but your duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Working on projects and supporting your team to find the best solutions
  • Helping to maintain performance within your team and for bp as a company
  • Building relationships both within bp and with our external partners, collaborating across functions, segments and teams to deliver excellence
  • Demonstrating drive and dedication through the bp values with an emphasis on safety.
Requirements
If you have a willingness to make decisions, a desire to learn and the passion to demonstrate your skills, we strongly encourage you to apply. A strong interest in business, as well as sound analytical and problem-solving skills and a passion to excel and deliver results are also appealing.
You will also need a Bachelor degree (or equivalent) in: Business, Management, Marketing, Law, English, Sociology, Geography, Maths, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Psychology, Physics, Chemistry, Supply Chain, Purchasing or another relevant degree.
To join this programme you will need to be prepared to be mobile across the 3-year programme, as your 3 x 1-year long rotations will be across our UK office locations.
You must be either:
  • in your final year of your degree, or;
  • you must have already graduated.
Roles will be based at any of the following location(s): Sunbury, Aberdeen, Canary Wharf, Hull, Pangbourne or other South of England BP Offices which could include, but are not limited to: Leatherhead, Paddington, St. James Square London and Milton Keynes.
