Essential Functions/ Key Accountabilities

  • Maintaining commercial/industrial HVAC systems.
Education
  • High School diploma or equivalent
Experience
  • 4+ years of commercial HVAC service, maintenance, and installation of HVAC equipment.
  • Familiar with the National Electrical CODE (NEC)
  • Must be able to read and understand one-line, three-line, wiring and schematic drawings.
  • Safe working knowledge of commercial/industrial HVAC rooftop units, split systems, package units, and exhaust system including reading and understanding the equipment specifications
  • Safe working knowledge of electrical and mechanical components of commercial/industrial HVAC systems.
  • Troubleshooting skills for commercial/industrial HVAC systems and associated hardware/software
  • Safe working knowledge of electrical and electronic circuit board level components.
  • Safe working knowledge of installation of sheet metal and other duct components.
  • Experience using personal protective equipment (PPE)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience working in an industrial environment
  • Previous experience working in a chemical plant, gas processing plant or refinery
  • Previous experience following detailed safety procedures
  • Previous experience with air scrubbing units
Certifications/Licenses
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • HVAC Apprenticeship training certificate
  • EPA Universal Certification
