Job summary

Grade H Responsible for delivering information security and risk activities for the specialism, using advanced technical capabilities to lead changes to security processes and procedures, review complex security issues, lead security solutions from identification to implementation, ensure adherence to policies, standards and best practices and provide technical expertise to internal and external stakeholders. Specialisms: Information Security Engineering; Information Security and Risk Management; Operational Security Management; Governance, Risk and Compliance; Forensics and Incident Response Management; Application Information Security.

Key Accountabilities

  • Team: collaborate within the developer and identity platforms team, specifically in the identity space ensuring that all best practices are deployed across all work and ensure aligned across the extended team.
  • Individual: As an active team member of the identity & access management (IAM) team you will working closely with the data & analytics platform teams and be responsible for the design and operation of bleeding edge authorizations and identity designs and processes to fit the data platforms security requirements
  • Technology: You will be expected to constantly look for new and modern technology ensuring that the best in class practices are adopted and developed in conjunction with the world leading cloud applications providers to ensure data at bp is safe and secure.
  • Safety and Compliance: consistently adhering to bp standards and compliance requirements to ensure all bp applications are protected to the highest level.
Required Education : Bachelor’s degree level education

Desirable Experience And Capability
  • Years of experience: 8+ years, with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
Required Criteria / Experience
  • Working knowledge of developing data products using either at least Azure or AWS analytic services/components.
  • Strong understanding of machine learning and AI models related to data products
  • Broad understanding of the security domain in the data space
  • Good working knowledge of Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies having worked to
  • Experience in medium/large-scale project implementation cycles.
  • Team player who is willing to speak up and share what they have learned.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Positive interpersonal skills, including the ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with others.
  • Strong in documentation, process analysis and design, requirement gathering and impact analysis
Preferred Criteria / Skills
  • Experience in full-stack cloud development
  • Appreciation of IAM processes including application access governance, attestation, compliance and audit controls within data platforms.
  • Experience in at working with a authorization based methodology e.g. RBAC/PBAC/ABAC
  • Experience in managing user access controls for cloud analytics components including Data Lake, Power BI, Data Factory, Azure Data Explorer, Azure Synapse, Data Warehouse, and Databricks.
  • Experience in managing user access controls to AWS analytics services including Amazon Athena, Amazon Redshift, AWS Glue, and AWS Lake Formation.
  • Data Domain Knowledge: proven understanding of data sources and data and analytics requirements and typical SLAs associated with data provisioning and consumption at enterprise scale, with interest and experience in analysis of data or other enterprise platform operations activities.
