About the RoleAs an Electrical & Instrument Engineering intern, you will:
  • Collaborate with a diverse team environment and interact with professionals across operations, maintenance, and environmental & safety engineering
  • Work as a power engineer analyzing and designing power equipment, or as an instrument engineer working on flow/pressure/level/temperature/gas analysis and instrumentation design
  • Test the reliability of equipment and troubleshoot equipment failures using root cause failure analysis, as well as design codes, such as ASME, API, ANSI, and ASTM, to provide evidence for financial and business decisions
  • Make our process more cost effective, efficient, and technologically competitive

About YouTaking on the role as Electrical Engineering intern means resolving refinery production critical problems on instrumentation and electrical equipment, as well as supporting day-to-day maintenance and operating activities. Alongside a strong technical degree that means using your analytical and technical expertise to develop maintenance strategies and recommendations for production personnel.

  • Minimum requirements
  • Must have cumulative and major GPA of 3.2 or higher
  • No sponsorship is available for this position
  • Seeking a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Preferred requirements
  • Must be available for a continuous 12-week period for duration of summer internship
  • Students should be in the 3rd year of a four-year degree program
  • Internships are not available for students who have completed their degree or who will graduate prior to the conclusion of the internship
