Responsible for supporting the team with accounting and reporting services, helping to ensure the integrity and effectiveness of accounting policy application, internal control, financial reporting, accounting systems support and delivery of financial accounting processes in conformance with BP's systems and requirements.

In this role You will:
  • Accountable for overseeing delivery of silent running, accurate and timely recording of all Intercompany transactions and processing in the Ledgers
  • Support the lead analyst to ensure that the intercompany processes are compliant with the Group Intercompany Policies and Procedures
  • Monitor and coordinate KPI collections and distribution to business stakeholders
  • Ensure that disputes are monitored and resolved in a timely manner, intervening and escalating disputes according to Group Policies
  • Review and Support of Monthly/quarterly reconciliations of Intercompany accounts in Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable
  • Ensure all reconciling items are followed up on a timely basis
  • Liaise with other teams to ensure smooth monthly/quarterly close
  • Coordinate the Intercompany credit control process
  • Control and support the matching and posting of intercompany transactions processed by Intercompany Analysts
  • Monthly / Quarterly Processing and Journal review of adjustments prepared by Intercompany Analysts identified through the reconciliation process

We have the following requirements:
  • Relevant degree
  • 1-2 years’ of experience in finance or accounting
  • Fluent English knowledge
  • SAP and Excel knowledge are advantages
  • Good level of analytical skills, numeracy and financial awareness
  • Good problem solving, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proactive in initiating actions before being asked to or forced to by events
  • Ability to work with deadlines, under pressure with a track record of delivery.
  • Customer- and service-oriented thinking.
