Job summary

Grade GResponsible for delivering business analysis and consulting activities for the defined specialism using advanced technical capabilities, building and maintaining effective working relationships with a range of stakeholders, ensuring relevant standards are defined and maintained, and managing process and system improvements to deliver business value. Specialisms: Business Analysis; Data Management and Data Science; Digital Innovation.

Key Accountabilities
  • Facilitate product roadmaps, vision, requirements through meetings and workshops at all user and management levels via design thinking and agile business analysis principles.
  • Define baselines, measures, and interdependencies of value streams to drive benefits realization
  • Work closely with the Product Owner to lead conflict resolution and obtain global agreement.
  • Be familiar with all Scrum ceremonies, roles and responsibilities.
  • Define and write User Stories and Acceptance Criteria.
  • Take ownership of the product backlog grooming.
  • Collaborate with the Product Owner and the team to prioritize the product backlog.
  • Work with the Scrum team on continuous story grooming and provide guidance on future stories.
  • Help define sprint goals and facilitate Agile ceremonies to ensuring objectives are met.
  • Validate that delivered software meets the stated user story acceptance criteria.
  • Organize sprint reviews with Product Owners to provide visibility and collect feedback.
  • Facilitate dependencies, risks and issues across team utilizing scrum of scrum techniques for effective mitigation.
  • Facilitate effective deployment by mapping change impact and change management success criteria for users
  • Complies with BP's Code of Conduct and models BP's Values and Behaviours.



Education and Experience
  • Tertiary education and/or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • Practitioner agile business analysis/agile analysis.
  • Practitioner design thinking.
  • Proven business analysis experience, preferably in an Agile environment.
  • Good leadership and communication skills to present and articulate at all levels of the organization.
  • Work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment.
  • Track record of good interpersonal, written and verbal communications skills.
  • Ability to work within a virtual global team environment.
  • Self-motivated to work with limited direction.
  • Ideally experience with TFS or similar tools such as Jira/ ADO etc
Salesforce Experience:
  • 10+ years of relevant experience
  • Prior project experience on industry standard platforms like Salesforce CRM ( Sales/Service Cloud) , ERP, AWS & Pricing. Analytical capabilities on tools like Power BI/Tableau will be a value add.
  • Ability to comprehend end to end business processes, the technology to enable, and ability to create / drive transition plan to achieve digital end state.
  • Strong experience conducting business workshop, creating end to end processes, designing As Is/To Be system and process analysis using digital tools like Mural/Miro/Lucid Charts or Microsoft Visio.
  • Good experience with Agile framework and tools like Azure DevOps/Jira. Ability to structure/manage business requirements into Epics, features, user stories & tasks.
  • Should have prior delivery experience on working on large digital transformation programs that requires working closely with Product/Platform teams, Service owners, Product owners, Data architects, Integration architects, Solution architects, Change Managers and DevOps team to ensure success/end to end delivery of the program.
  • Proficient in developing technology adoption, collaborating governance models to deliver cost optimization, agility, efficiency and measurable business outcomes.
  • Ability to effectively work across complex vendor slate in heavily matrixed environment to achieve digital end state
  • Consulting mindset, positive attitude, always better than yesterday with bias for action, strong drive and energy and ability to overcome obstacles.

Desirable Criteria
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Certification (PSC) or Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO).
  • Salesforce Certification
  • Analytics certification (Tableau/Power BI)


Responsible for eliciting, defining and managing business requirements from stakeholders using structured business analysis tools, techniques and methodologies, to ensure that delivered IT&S products and solutions successfully meet those needs, and that business users' expectations are met.

Enables the definition of requirements and user stories for product development, improving processes and systems, reducing their costs, enhancing their sustainability, and the quantification of potential business benefits.

The collaborative creation and iteration of viable specifications and acceptance criteria in preparation for the deployment of digital systems.

Strengthens and enriches business domain, methods & tools, business modelling knowledge in the role.
