Job summary

The role is focused on initiatives to develop, standardize and roll out the (Franchise) formula within bp Retail and improve the structure and processes necessary to deliver such an offer.
The main task is to further develop and innovate the offer and be responsible for formula management of the convenience offer. This includes improving the Franchise formula (incl. loyalty promotions) and Franchise strategy. You will coordinate the Franchise council and different Franchise commissions for offer development. Responsibilities include managing the successful implementation of the offer in the different channels of trade.

You will also support sharing customer facing experience in the Netherlands with other countries to ensure that all areas of best practice and findings are captured and embedded as franchising is rolled out.

Offer Development Manager


In this role you will:
  • Further develop, standardize, innovate and rollout the convenience offer
  • Improve and implement BP’s Franchise channel of trade in the Dutch market to ensure offer for the bp customers, with the aim to increase value for bp for COFO and DOFO sites
  • Gather insights on consumer behaviours & industry trends in the retail space to develop a vision for the Franchise business
  • Work on the Franchise strategy, values and elements
  • Create templates and formats for standardisation in Franchise (like manual structure, financial model)
  • Coordinate the implementation of the Franchise strategy and offer from Dealer Offer into Franchise Offer
  • Expand and professionalize the bp DOFO market to become a larger and profitable convenience retailer within the Dutch petrol market
  • Work closely with all retail departments to ensure offer development and follow up
  • Collect feedback to constantly improve the competitive positioning of our offers and programs
  • Support the internal culture change into retail and franchise and the embedding of franchise into the organisation
  • Support the optimal corporation in the Franchise council and the Franchise commissions
  • Responsible for further development of the Trading offer (especially Urban) for the Franchise COT
  • Collaborate with Category Management regarding Franchise GFO management, field service and shop management evaluations
  • Participate in various projects and service categories within Franchise and Trading
  • Actively seek out cost/service efficiency improvements throughout the end to end supply chain
  • Ensure an optimal implementation and documentation of Franchise processes and develop tools
  • Continue to reinforce and drive supplier and Franchise safety especially on site
  • Drive continued awareness and sustainability of HSSE policies & standards around safety, compliance and risk management
  • Support Franchise knowledge sharing within the ESA region


Number of shops: COCO + Franchise + Dealer sites. (150-250 sites)
Car Washes: All (all channels of trade)
Foodservice: All (all channels of trade)


In this role we have the following requirements:
  • University level or HBO+ level
  • 5+ years retail experience and understanding of dealer contact
  • Experience and insight in retail businesses
  • Knowledge of offer management and Franchise formula’s
  • Fluency in Dutch and English
  • Good understanding of market and competitor context
  • Strong team and interpersonal skills
  • Customer focus
  • Striving for continuous improvement and innovation
  • Ability to influence, negotiate and network with key stakeholders
  • Understanding Retail Standards and Processes
  • Focus efforts and prioritise work to deliver business value
