Offshore Wind Transition Manager

Job summary

The Transition Manager will sit in bp’s offshore wind business excellence team and will be responsible for supporting the management of change across bp’s offshore wind business, as it transitions to a standalone business.

You will work as part of a team developing best-in-class change management initiatives and will support the performance management of the change plan, including reporting to senior stakeholders.

In this role, you will be expected to:

• Work with adjoining Business Excellence and central/regional teams, and bp groups including bp People & Culture and Communications to support management of change of the offshore wind organisation
• Support and selectively lead change management in the transition period to a standalone offshore wind business
• Support the development and delivery of communications and engagement with respect to transition activities
• Support the development of strategic workforce / resource planning to deliver pipeline
• Track and report on progress towards establishing a standalone offshore wind business
• Maintain collaborative relationships with the wider offshore wind team and other internal and external partners

• Preference for experience in the energy sector (ideally in renewables or offshore wind)
• Track record in the delivery of change management activities and organisational transition
• Excellent project management skills with the ability to use a wider range of project management tools
• Strong analytical capability with the ability to develop and track business KPIs
• Prior experience in the development and implementation of strategic workforce planning is a plus
• Ability and comfort to work with ambiguity and with global teams
• Confident communicator to a range of audiences
• Strong attention to detail
• Minimum Bachelor’s degree qualification

• Work across offshore wind and enabling teams to support change management of the offshore wind business:
• Work closely with the various global and regional offshore wind teams to design and deliver change management activity
• Work closely with enabling teams, including Communications and People & Culture, to co-design change solutions and ensure alignment with bp approach to change management
• Remain connected to bp’s other low carbon technologies and businesses to identify and support opportunities for integration
• Maintain collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders as appropriate
