Job summary

The optimization analyst is responsible for operational and compliance reporting requirements for the optimization and quality teams. This role gathers daily operational data that feeds site utilization and availability data, and it also verifies and submits fuels compliance data to relevant groups and external agencies.

Key Accountabilities

  • Manage gasoline and diesel data entries into reporting tools ensuring data accuracy and timely entries, identifying and troubleshooting input data issues making sure that data is consistent and accurate
  • Support annual fuels reporting audits, ensuring data is accurate and delivered in a timely manner.
  • Perform daily accounting of refinery unit production losses, collecting input from various sources, in coordination with the full refinery optimization, technical, and operations teams.
  • Compile weekly and monthly reporting of Production Loss Accounting (PLA) to support site reliability. Continuously improve PLA reporting processes, exploring end user data requirements and data automation where possible.
  • Help identify and recommend improvements to the current tools and other commercial processes to minimize manual workload across the full optimization team.

Essential Experience and Job Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree required, preferably in engineering or science-related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of working experience in a data focused or analytical role.

Desirable Criteria

A successful candidate demonstrates strong analytical skills as well as the ability to learn quickly and work well across large teams. The candidate should demonstrate strong organizational skills and a desire to continuously improve work processes and digital tools.
