Job summary

As bp undertakes a fundamental restructure to its whole business and reinvents to drive to a net zero ambition by 2050 or sooner, the workplace within bp and its working practices also need to change to align with this ambition. The working practices and office designs of today will not be those that are required into the future.

In order to achieve bp’s ambitions this role has been developed to:

  • Successfully transition the new Facilities Management (FM) and Real Estate (RE) suppliers across Phase 1 sites (34 large office, R&D and manufacturing) in 11 countries and subsequently the transformation of those services
  • Remove obstacles to new contractual ways of working and embedding Vested ways of working
  • The further transition of subsequent phases to existing or new suppliers of FM and RE services across the remainder of the office portfolio and potentially industrial sites (40 countries)

Ensure a comprehensive transition plan is developed by the Vested service providers and developing and subsequently implementing the bp transition plan.

Support the Senior Manager - Outsourcing Transition by liaising with country FM and RE teams to develop details of the outcomes for the transformation, ensuring its successful implementation.

Contribute to the development of the transformation strategy and vision, country by country, for services; drawing on colleagues’ inputs and working with the Vested service providers to develop the details of the transformation plan. A road map for establishing current practices and services will need to be established prior to agreeing the best operational and commercial approach to deliver bp’s strategy and vision.

An important requirement is that the individual will become trained to foundation level in the Vested methodology and ensure new team members receive adequate Vested training.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Support the Senior Manager - Outsourcing Transition in being a key enabler, from a bp perspective, for the transition of the new FM and RE supply chain for phase 1 sites
  • Support the Senior Manager - Outsourcing Transition, in all aspects of the transition to the new FM and RE supply chain for phase 1 sites
  • Support the Senior Manager - Outsourcing Transition in the development and consolidation of the country by country vision for transformation
  • Be the counterpart to the Vested service provider’s transition and transformation planning leads
  • Support the planning and running of the further outsourcing and transition of FM and RE services for the remainder of the portfolio
  • Engage with a wide range of stakeholders to agree the transition and transformation plans on an ongoing basis
Requirements:
  • Educated to university degree level
  • Demonstrable experience in achieving results in diverse cultures and drives an inquisitive yet respectful mindset whilst promoting innovation and continuous improvement
  • Experience of a client-side FM mobilisation and operational change project, for global integrated FM transition and transformation programme, showing knowledge of budget management, capacity planning, project management, outsourcing, procurement and/or process improvement responsibilities
  • Worked on mobilisation projects for outsourced partnerships and teams to deliver high levels of achievement and innovation
Outstanding stakeholder engagement skills, building sustainable networks of using high Emotional Intelligence
