Job summary

The primary responsibility of the role is to provide project management and project controls support for the bpSA Convenience Transformation Office.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Support the Senior Manager Convenience PMO with the scheduling and programming of key activities and flight plans for the Convenience transformation.
  • Contribute to the costing and scoping of individual initiatives.
  • Engage with bpSA Procurement on the selection and issuance of tenders for specific partners associated with Transformation Office.
  • Documentation of Transformation Office processes, Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Reporting, dashboarding and tracking of Transformation Office KPI’s.
  • Documentation of change control requests.
  • Interface with bpSA Convenience Finance team to update budgets, forecasts, and annual financials.
  • Interactions with Capex team on FEL 1 and FEL 2 execution.
  • Engagements with bpSA Formats team on store build and refurbishment requirements.
  • Updates to Risk and Issues Register.
  • Development of a Learnings Register for bpSA Convenience.
  • Facilitation of problem-solving sessions with contractors, suppliers, technology partners and Transformation Office resources.
  • Periodic newsletters and communications to bpSA management and key stakeholders on project progress, key wins.
Education & Experience Required

Education
  • BSc in Supply Chain, Accounting, Finance, BCom, Economics.
  • PMBOK or Prince2 certification desirable
Experience
  • 3 - 5 years’ experience in a project management, PMO or Transformation Office environment.
Skills and Competences
  • Project controls experience including:
  • Scheduling and milestone management including a working knowledge of planning tools e.g., Microsoft Project.
  • Project budgeting and costing.
  • Work breakdown structure development.
  • Scope reviews and change controls management.
  • PMBOK or Prince2 practitioner.
  • Reporting and dashboarding (e.g., PowerBI).

Grade HResponsible for supporting the Property Management Team with administering lease agreements, using sound technical capabilities including communicating with landlords and other stakeholders and managing the database for tracking of compliance and renewal requirements including developing analytical reports.
