Responsible for managing a team to deliver performance and planning activities including delivering financial forecasting, analysis and insights and other financial performance and planning activities, and ensure the business transactions and results of the reporting entity are recorded, reported and forecasted with integrity, in a timely manner and in conformance Group accounting policies and control standards.

Future Mobility & Solutions PPM Analyst

Future Mobility & Solutions develops new, winning and disruptive business models and digital solutions in future mobility that deliver material financial growth and long-term value. The focus of the team is to scale-up next gen solutions in electrification, end to end fleet management and mobility services into transport. Their aim is also to deliver digital solutions that seamlessly meet the changing needs of our customers.

The Planning & Performance Management (i.e., PPM) Analyst supports the PPM Manager with the Planning, Performance insight and Reporting of the Future Mobility & Solutions business to support the optimisation of business performance.

The PPM Analyst supports the PPM Manager with monthly actuals activities as well as with the planning process and producing core performance data which includes the timely and accurate reporting of the GFO (i.e., bp financial outlook process) and financial and non-financial metrics. From time to time, the PPM Analyst will drive project activities within the business ensuring project financial data is reasonable and supports appropriate decision making.

The role holder may also hold a consolidation role, providing an integrated view of performance for several businesses and teams. The focus of this role is to supervise performance and provide analysis, insight and support to help drive performance improvements whilst maintaining an independent Finance view.

Key accountabilities:

  • Support the PPM Manager with monthly actuals reporting activities including:
  • Prepare monthly report for each of the FM&S teams and analyse drivers of variances vs forecast
  • Load monthly actuals onto bp financial data system (i.e., EP2)
  • Consolidate all the EV non financials metrics for inputs in Executive Vice President Customer & Product monthly dashboard
  • Support PPM Manager with Group processes including:
  • Support with GFO (i.e., financial outlook) processes
  • Responsible for capex pipeline
  • Track Recharges & Allocation we receive from Group and analyse any variances with what has been communicated as a forecast for the year by Group
  • Support PPM Manager with improving current performance management processes (FM&S is a new team which is growing exponentially, and we need to make sure we have the right processes in place):
  • Work on a SharePoint that will become the common platform of communication for the FM&S team
  • Detail all the new processes that we put in place as well as all the EV metric definitions
Essential education:
  • A Bachelor's degree is required - preferably in Finance, Business, or Accounting
Essential experience and job requirements:
  • Good command of written and spoken English
  • Experience of quickly grasping new situations/business/activity
  • Ability to build insights from data analysis and challenge the status quo
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills
Desirable criteria:
  • Experience of bp planning and performance management processes
  • Knowledge in bp finance data system (i.e., FBW and EP2)
  • Knowledge of PowerBI
