Job summary

The role of Partnerships & Strategic Implementation Manager is agile, flexible, and responsive, sat within a team on the leading edge of shipping’s engagement and relationships with internal and external customers, with an increasing focus on the marine transition to Net Zero.

The role has the option to be based in bp's offices in either London (20 Canada Square or Sunbury dependent on candidate preference.

About the role:

The purpose of this role is to deliver Project Management across diverse projects, within T&S and the wider bp organisation, involving planning and coordination, commercial advice, GIAAPs compliance support, and economic modelling for the Shipping Partnerships & Strategic Implementation Team.

Key Accountabilities will include:

• Providing and leading project management to support Shipping projects in compliance with entity project management frameworks and the Group Investment Assurance and Approvals Process (GIAAPs) to deliver economically value-enhancing marine solutions for bp.
• Working closely with the wider bp business to develop info notes, AtNs and FMs in support of projects in accordance with GIAAPs.
• Delivering economic modelling support (EEM) for project business cases.
• Promoting a “solution-centric” commercial focus across teams in Shipping in order to respond to customer requests and work with other teams in Shipping in order to balance this “can do” attitude with effective risk management.
• Working in an integrated manner providing support and cover to the Senior Partnership Managers on a variety of projects and customer relationships
• Supporting the VP of Partnerships and Strategic Implementation with the upkeep of policies, procedures, team outputs, presentations, and coordination of the Partnership team.
• Ensuring business activities are conducted in a manner consistent with bp Group Policies and Expected Behaviours, within the boundaries established by Group Functional Standards and Business Management System.

About you:

In addition to holding a Degree in Business, Finance or Economics (or equivalent relevant business experience) the successful candidate will also demonstrate:

• Experience with financial modelling
• Proven stakeholder management across multiple businesses / geographies / disciplines
• Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team

It would also be beneficial to have:

• Commercial/financial consulting background to shipping sector
• Working knowledge of bp project management framework (CVP), policy procdures including GIAAPs
• Knowledge of accounting practices
• Familiarity with bp Shipping / Treasury / Tax
• Leadership experience and/or potential
