Job summary

Change manager will be responsible to coordinate and steer efforts across core business, employees, customers, and partners and communities for I&E digital hub. I&E digital hub in Pune is currently on an aggressive growth path and to make this growth sustainable, concerted efforts are required to integrate various functional tracks and stakeholder priorities. In executing this ambition and supporting the Pune Digital Hub, bp needs a Change and Communication Manager with the experience and passion to help support the team and leadership at this exciting time in the Digital Hub’s development.

Key responsibilities:
The change manager will report to leader of I&E digital hub, and will interface with digital leaders across business disciplines, sub-entities and leads of enabling functions with specific accountabilities to -

  • Develop and deliver change management approaches to support the Digital Hub development goals, within a constantly changing working environment
  • Support rapid headcount expansion of the Pune Hub using an Agile mindset, working with our Recruitment and Talent Attraction teams to support and track our recruitment efforts
  • Conduct stakeholder assessments, identifying key stakeholders and areas of focus; develop stakeholder engagement plans to address and mitigate risks
  • Conduct change impact assessments, identifying risks to delivery/adoption, articulate practical and actionable mitigation activities
  • Develop and deliver tactical & strategic communication plans, aligned to the overall change management approach, and designed to support the adoption of Pune Digital Hub initiatives; Write, review, and send tactical and strategic communications
  • Plan for training and coaching for change agents to equip them to conduct change discussions with their constituencies
  • Create training plans, training curriculums, training content and training deployment plans
  • Coordinate change management activities within project implementation team and facilitate reporting of progress, risk and dependencies to client leadership
  • Evaluate and ensure business readiness through data collection techniques such as change readiness assessment surveys and interviews with key program stakeholders
  • Define and measure change management success metrics, conduct business benefits tracking and benefits management
  • Build and nurture long standing relationships with key stakeholders; Act as a strategic advisor to leadership and line managers to identify change impacts and advise on necessary mitigation steps
  • Proactively identify and articulate upcoming change priorities to support the delivery roadmap
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and vendors to facilitate change activities
  • Perform market research from internal and external sources to inform key stakeholders and as input to refreshing hub’s strategies
  • Ensure personal and team compliance with bp's Code of Conduct and demonstrates strong leadership through bp's Leadership Expectations and Values & Behaviours
Desired Candidate:-
You’ll bring experience 8-12years, with a minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience in strategic change management. Prior experience in the energy industry is not mandatory. You’ll have
  • Proven track record of managing large multi-functional change assignments
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, ability to manage expectations and drive outcomes from all stakeholders conversations across levels of seniority
  • Management consulting or professional services experience is preferred, as is global experience
  • Strong working knowledge of PowerPoint, Excel, Word
  • Strong writing and editing skills, with an eye for detail
  • Superb communication skills (fluent verbal and written English)
  • Strong and demonstrated ability to build lasting relationships with key stakeholders
  • Ability to competently mediate disagreements and negotiate agreeable resolutions
  • Possess the expert knowledge to identify opportunities for change and the ability to convey the need for change
  • Good experience of working with globally distributed teams in a collaborative and productive manner
