Job summary

Right of Way Specialist will have to manage and support pipeline integrity-related issues as well as pipeline security and community relations.
Perform routine maintenance on BTC / SCP Block Valves. Supervision of contract horse patrol and other third party activities including contractors.

Key Accountabilities:
Control equipment and process, monitor events, materials and surroundings.
• Ensure site procedures are followed for operations and daily/weekly checks and data are recording appropriately.
• RoW specialist will follow the BP driving rules laid down by the company will make vehicle available for inspection and ensure that all necessary maintenance works timely carried out
• Provide regular inspection of AGI locations( BVS&CVS) on RoW
• Provide monitoring and control of horse patrol activities
• Provide monitoring and control of sniffer dogs activities
• Landslide, Erosion and river crossing detailed surveillance and reporting.
• Accurate Maintain reports, logs and handover reports of all activities.
• Promptly report all faulty/defectives and any spills to ROW Team Leader.
• Permit Control. If authorized, manage work permits in coordination with other permit authority’s onsite.
• Ensure all permit to works meet the standards
• Ensure compliance at all times with the Golden Rules of Safety and Safe Systems.
• The pipeline patrol technician will be expected to work alongside the HSE department to ensure that all necessary processes, procedures are followed
• Block valve stations regular inspection, refuelling and Check valve stations inspection/ operation
• Be aware of the potentially significant environmental and social aspects and impacts of the operation in the work/support area.
• Take action to deal with emergencies including fire fighting and rescue and oils spill clean up.
• Actively take part in emergency response exercises, desktop exercises and drills.
• Handle chemicals and hazardous materials with care and under the instructions
• Drive Company-owned vehicles (as self-drivers) to support day to day activities as and when required.

Essential Education:
• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent

Essential Experience and Job Requirements:
• Working experience in oil and gas pipeline systems.
• Speaking, writing and reading skills in English (pre-intermediate) and Georgian (fluent) languages
• Off road driving experience
• Experience in pipeline operation/RoW (Right of Way) patrolling
• Valid driver’s license
• Desire to work shifts and at remote locations along pipeline route
• Georgian Citizenship

Desirable:
• Familiar with Control of Work system
• Process and Isometric drawing and maps data interpretation
• Experience in dealing with communities and local authorities
• Experience and certification in BP Safe System Of Work
