Job summary

Castrol Turkey offers you fantastic opportunity of Project Coordinator role based in our Gemlik plant.

This role will contribute to delivering realization of projects in plant and Castrol Global strategy.

In this position you will be reporting to the Lubricants Plant Engineering Manager and be responsible for delivering engineering objectives for new projects, optimizing, and improving process and process safety at the plant.

You will be accountable for coordinating all engineering works around buildings, equipment, construction, and investments required for these activities.

About the role:

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Develop and apply project specifications which are consistent with Castrol’s policies, processes, and engineering expectations, for controlling the quality/safety/environmental outcomes of new projects and existing process improvement initiatives.
• Lead Process safety reviews, risk assessments and action item resolution plans to mitigate safety hazards and reduce operational risks and involves relevant support from regional team.
• Develop robust project plans, tracking them, providing a robust project management practice aiming to complete the projects on time, within budget and in a safe manner.
• Prepare and approve work permits as performing authority and area authority in its field of responsibility through work permit system and follows up work permits on site and act as planner in control of work organization chart.
• Plan Capex meetings regularly and prepare capex projects list and report situation of projects to Engineering Manager periodically.
• Follow up Revex (Maintenance Budget) together with Integrity Coordinator, and stand in when required.
• Initiate procurement activities for the goods in project and follow up.

About you:

You will hold a university degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Mechatronics, Electric/Electronics, Petrol, Industrial, Materials & Metallurgical or Civil Engineering

It would be essential that you have:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in engineering projects for Process Engineering & Process Safety and Project Management
• Strong knowledge of energy industry codes, standards and regulations associated with process design and process safety engineering
• Fluency in Turkish and English languages
• Advance level of knowledge in MS Office - Excel, Word, Projects and Powerpoint

It would be also good if you had experience in AND/OR:

• Lubricants industry
• Supply Chain
• Consumer Package
• Autocad
