Job summary

To launch and develop the Castrol lubricants business in Kenya through our business partner in the country, profitably and within the HSSEQ / Ethics policies of BP

Key challenges faced on the role:
Kenya is classified as a growth market within the Africa Portfolio. We have had a small businee presence for many years in the country until this year, when we were able to sign a partnership with Rubis Energie, a French company that bought the assets of a local fuels and lubricants player. The partnership includes the migration of 5m litters of lubricants from the local brand KenolKobil to the Castrol brand.

The role is a new role, created with he objective of managing the relationship with our new partner and launch and develop the Castrol business in Kenya.

HSSE Accountabilities:
Transfer, develop and monitor HSSE culture to all countries in the cluster and plan distributor improvement programmes.

Education required:
Relevant Business Degree

Experience and Expertise Required:
Sales and distributor management at international level, logistics and supply chain as well as technical competencies

Required Competencies:
Sales and Marketing, international sales, distributor management, financials, technical lubricants, SC, HSSE

Grade GResponsible for managing a sales direct/B2B team to achieve or exceed assigned sales and profitability goals through the delivery of the sales direct/B2B strategy and financial performance targets (e.g. sales volume, gross margin and over dues) within an assigned territory, and supports the development and implementation of short and long-term strategies and customer retention programmes. The scope of the role will influence the grade – this can include financial accountability, geographical scope, leadership responsibilities and overall level of responsibility.
