Grade G Responsible for delivering strategy architecture and planning activities for the specialism, supporting related operating practices and processes and effective implementation of relevant standards, liaising with stakeholders and providing advanced knowledge and advice to support wider business goals. Specialisms: Segment Architecture; Enterprise Architecture; Solution Architecture; Strategy.

ROLE SYNOPSIS

Architects connect all the digital disciplines and the consumers and procurers of technology, to create an integrated, flexible, effective digital architecture for bp.
Salesforce Marketing architect is a new role in the Digital Customer and Markets (DCM) team, where we deliver digital solutions to engage with our customers, create efficiencies and support new business. This role is to help make best use of the Salesforce ecosystem (including Marketing Cloud, Pardot and Social Studio) for Marketing and Communication.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Team: You directly influence how different products design, build and consume marketing capabilities on the Salesforce technology stack. You will not just lead, but you will "do".
  • Architecture: You understand the full Salesforce Marketing Offerings and can apply these directly to business requirements when architectures are defined. You set principles/guidance for teams and act as a member of the Design Governance team across Salesforce capabilities.
  • Relationships: You will understand the needs of the different parts of our business, product teams, and our key technology ecosystems that interact with Salesforce, building strong relationships both inside and outside of bp. You will serve as a key link between the Salesforce Marketing Capabilities and Product teams. You will influence roadmaps across for product teams both working with the external vendor and within bp’s internal team.
  • Technology: You have a passion for understanding and learning. You will bring good hands-on skills in architecting, designing, and building application and services on the Salesforce Marketing Stack.
  • Evangelist: You will be the Salesforce Marketing evangelist for DCM, selling the different opportunities that can help us build a seamless customer experience across our core technology stacks.
  • Safety and Compliance: Safety of our people and our customers is our highest priority. We will advocate and help ensure our architectures, designs and processes enhance a culture of operational safety and improve our digital security.
FORMAL EDUCATION
A Bachelor's (or higher) degree, ideally in Computer Science, MIS/IT, Mathematics, hard science, or equivalent work experience.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS
  • Over all 14+ years and 7+ years hands on experience in architecture, design, and deployment of industry leading customer centric products on Salesforce and related technologies.
  • 4+ years of experience in Martech design and integration
  • Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Pardot and Social Studio delivery experience.
  • Exposure to CDP and DMP and their role in the Marketing landscape
  • In-depth understanding of the capabilities and constraints of Salesforce offerings. You accomplish exceptional delivery outcomes in a respectful and supportive way.
  • Strong technical foundation and experience in: SQL and AMPscript, Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Email Studio, Mobile Studio, and Cloud Pages. Experience with SSJS/Java/PHP is a plus.
  • A clear grasp of software development and design thinking in an agile environment. You understand and advocate continuous delivery pipelines and DevOps.
  • Understanding and experience of enforcing Governance as part of delivering Marketing Solutions and running new Campaigns.
