Job summary

Manage demand planning function within the Lubricants business for Thailand in order to deliver first-class customer service and robust business planning while minimizing inventory. As this is a new function to be owned by GSC, the incumbent is expected to ensure a smooth transition of the processes to GSC, with an outline of TO-BE processes, roadmap of improvements to be implemented.
The incumbent is also expected to review and standardize S&OP processes with a view to generate efficiency outcomes. The incumbent is also expected to provide inputs enabling future digitalization of processes.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Ensure a smooth transition of the processes to GSC, with an outline of TO-BE processes, roadmap of improvements to be implemented
  • Review and standardized S&OP process across Thailand.
  • Support digitalization workstream
  • Implement and manage the demand planning and control processes for Thailand.
  • Facilitate monthly country demand review meeting including preparation required.
  • Work with Thailand sales & GSC teams to ensure that demand planning process is continuously improved.
  • Use forecast accuracy and a measure of bias to identify actions that will improve the demand planning and control process and supporting assumptions.
  • Facilitate all actions that relate to the demand plan including decisions on issue resolution and gap closure.
  • Give support to the integrated reconciliation (IR) process through effective decision support and recommendations that resolve demand vs supply imbalances.
  • Manage a process that allows the understanding and documentation of opportunities and vulnerabilities to the demand plan.
  • Check and understand the statistical forecast vs the demand plan and update the demand plan if appropriate
  • Incorporate various inputs from sales and marketing at various levels into one consistent demand plan
  • Working closely with 3P manufacturing, customer service and distribution partners.
  • Relationships include sales managers at local, state, national/country level, marketing, supply planners, customer service, finance teams.
  • University Graduate in Business Administration, Statistics or equivalent with substantial experience in the lubricants, CPG or chemical industry, with the functional and leadership skills and capability in demand or supply planning.
Languages: English – Fluent

  • Strong understanding of demand planning and integrated business management/sales & operations planning principles
  • Experience with end to end administration of forecasting databases and demand planning processes
