The Scheduling Manager is a member of the Plant Leadership Team and has overall responsibility for all Scheduling and Admin related activities in the plant, specifically:

  • Ensuring that the weekly production schedule is translated into a doable production schedule to be handed over to Operations
  • Ensuring all materials needed to achieve the production schedule are available in the right quantity and the needed time
  • Having leadership responsibility for employees in the Scheduling and Admin area
  • Ensuring administrative supports needed to run the plant are performing as needed
  • Ensuring professional communication with GSC stakeholders / face to the business in all day to day tasks
  • If required leading significant plant wide projects or beyond.
Your main tasks:
  • Leading the scheduling team and being accountable for translating the plan handed over from the Planning team into a production schedule, to be handed over to Operations
  • Ensuring all materials needed to execute the schedule are available on time and in quantity needed
  • Definition and Monitoring of relevant KPIs, with building a production plan which supports efficient Operations (lower OEE-losses) and assures Service at the same time. FSA only as a contributing factor.
  • CI: Development and Implementation of Initiatives to Improve the Scheduling-Processes at the Neuhof site, either locally or regionally driven. In this context, working together with regional functions and team in other E&A plants
  • Development & ownership of business continuity plan with respect to scheduling activities
  • Overall accountability for local Supplier Management, including call offs, Complaint Process and Supplier Ratings
  • Accountability to ensure ERP scheduling data is kept up to date
  • Responsible for achieving agreed inventory targets (RM&FG inventory, excluding transfer zone).
  • Responsibility general plant admin processes, services and contracts (e.g. cantine, cleaning services).
  • Organizing and empowering the Scheduling Team in a way that 20-25% of the role can be reserved for special projects outside of scheduling.
  • Matches individuals with appropriate roles based on current competence and development needs. Develops talent to fill a solid succession pipeline in area of responsibility
  • Understanding and applying the processes and requirements established in BP's Operating Management System (OMS) for safe, responsible, and reliable operations
  • Ensure compliance (legal and OMS) to all regulatory and internal requirements with respect to scheduling operations and the area of general site services:
  • As part of the Plant Leadership Team, the Job Holder can also serve as deputy Plant Manager in case of absence of the PM
  • Act in a manner consistent with the BP Values & Behaviours by leading through our values, building enduring capability, energizing people and maximizing value in both short and long term commitments
  • Representing the plant in sourcing & network design topics
  • After Re-Invent: Driving the next level of synergies within Planning/Scheduling/CF and driving continuous and steady productivity improvements


  • Role assumes Contract accountable manager responsibilities to ensure the safe execution of the contracted work while applying the Working with Contractors process
  • In the case of an emergency, job holder can become member of an IMT, e.g. as local On Scene Commander
  • As part of the Risk Management for the plant, accountability might have to be taken for risk events as assigned in the facility risk register for areas assigned
  • As part of the Control of Work Process, this position performs the role of Area Authority for the yard, office and entry area of the plant
  • Further accountabilities within the scope of legal or BP OMS requirements might be assigned to this role with separate written assignment documents (e.g. first aider)
Our requirements:
  • At least 5 years experience in a manufacturing environment preferred in a Supply Chain management role, demonstrating good knowledge of production processes, experience in CI
  • Business or Technical degree preferred but other disciplines considered with relevant experience or having long lasting plant experience.
  • Good knowledge of standard ERP system and basic SCM principles
  • Very strong analytical skills
  • Ability to troubleshoot, adapt to a changing environment and deliver under pressure
  • Very good spoken & written English and German language capability.
  • Good communication skills and ability to communicate with all levels in the company
  • Ideally experience in cross-functional projects and international teams
