The Senior Compensation Specialist provides subject matter expertise on delivery of bpx energy’s reward activities, including base compensation, incentives, job evaluations, salary survey participation, recognition, timekeeping, and benefits specific to bpx energy. Key Accountabilities:
Lead activities related to providing a competitive compensation program to individuals so that bpx energy can hire top talent, reward exceptional performance, and enable employees from all backgrounds to thrive
Lead implementation and development of all aspects of the annual reward cycle
Partner with bp Reward on timely delivery of all items necessary to administer the reward cycle, annual cash bonus, spot bonuses, incentive plans, and other allowances, reimbursements, and premiums
Manage timekeeping in Kronos for non-exempt employees, including bi-weekly review and approvals, timekeeping rule creation/modifications and implementation, and reporting metrics of compliance on timekeeping approvals
Manage submissions to market surveys, analyze resulting data to understand labor market trends, and maintain appropriate updates to salary structures, pay ranges, and other industry competitive benefits (e.g., travel allowances)
Maintain accurate salary data including the consistent mapping of job titles, Workday job/compensation profiles, pay ranges, and grades
Oversee non-cash and non-core benefits (e.g., vacation program)
Partner with P&C colleagues to conduct job evaluation, re-leveling, and title adjustments, consult on job offers and promotions, and manage day-to-day compensation needs
Coordinate closely with P&C colleagues on day-to-day and ad hoc support of compensation, reporting, modeling, and analysis needs
Develop and support employee recognition programs
Partner with bpx’s labor attorney on compliance with compensation regulations, including FLSA status reviews
Stay current on the latest compensation trends, best practices, methods, and technology
As needed, the incumbent will take on additional duties as assigned
Education:
Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s Degree in HR or related field preferred
PHR or SPHR preferred
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of employee compensation experience
Demonstrated success in providing compensation support in the US onshore independent environment preferred
Background/experience as HR generalist desired
