Job summary

Role Synopsis

DCM Midstream Software engineer is responsible for designing, developing and maintaining software components, services, and applications including their integrations and interfaces with enterprise systems to ensure businesses using the products are able to meet their business objectives.

Essential Education

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in computer science / information technology / science or Mathematics.

Essential Experience

  • Strong understanding of and exposure to developing application components or services using programming languages (e.g. C#, Python), Query / scripting languages (e.g. pySpark, SparkSQL), platforms (e.g. AWS SageMaker, Amazon RDS, EC2, Palantir Foundry), version control (e.g git).

  • Good understanding of Microsoft Power Platform (e.g Powerapps, PowerBI, Power Automate)

  • Good understanding of Amazon’s native services (e.g RDS, Route 53, SQS, SNS, SES, S3, lambda)

  • Experience designing and building sophisticated software systems end-to-end which have been optimally delivered to production.

  • Experience in designing, planning, implementing, maintaining, and detailing solutions.

  • Strong communication skills and ability to communicate with your peers through to senior leaders. You should be able to engage and influence others to collect requirements, describe what you’re doing, and work through problems and find productive solutions.

  • Good knowledge and hands-on experience in areas such as data structures, database table design, algorithm design, runtime complexity, system architecture (scalable, reliable, redundant design), API design, security and privacy best practices, at scale monitoring, logging & alerting, testing best practices.

  • Knowledge and experience with the specific treatment required to delivering initiatives within supply chain business and B2B, B2C pricing.

Mindset of continuous learning and staying updated with new technologies.

  • Experience of working in an Agile/Lean/DevOps environment
