Job Description:

The role is open for Budapest or Kuala Lumpur

Role Synopsis

  • You will support various bp businesses with a range of complexity sourcing, contracting and supplier performance management. In addition to sourcing, this role is responsible for developing supplier relationships and proactively identifying value opportunities.

  • This includes demand management, definition of sourcing strategy based on a predefined category framework, source selection, contract negotiation, and contract creation & maintenance.

  • Whilst a Sourcing Lead is an individual contributor, significant level of autonomy is provided and expected within the role to lead sourcing projects related to demand from bp’s Customer and Products business covering marketing and retail assets scopes.

Key Accountabilities

The Sourcing Lead will run end-to-end Sourcing projects as per business request, inclusive of the following activities:

  • Demand Management; Ensure that the business requirements of all key stakeholders and Scopes of Work are well-understood and accurately covered in the sourcing process. Influence business demand where required and possible.

  • Case Management; Drive and lead various S&C projects of various spend & complexity. Generate reports (status, summary etc.) and analyse data depending on the project requirements.

  • Sourcing Strategy; Identify value levers and opportunities to improve value for bp. Develop Sourcing strategy in accordance with the respective Category strategy. Define approach to market and develop source selection criteria based on the business priorities and requirement.

  • Contracting; Negotiate and agree on relevant contract terms with suppliers. Develop and modify contract content based on templates and own the approval process.

  • Supplier Management; act as key focal point for supplier during selection and contracting process up until implementation.

Essential Experience and Job Requirements:

  • The ideal candidate has 6-7 years of practical and application experience in end-to-end sourcing and contracting, showcasing practical experience in sourcing of services and commodities, drafting and negotiating contracts, sourcing strategy preparation, coupled with a strong commercial orientation and interpersonal skills

  • Track record of successful Procurement delivery in sophisticated, complicated international environments

  • Ability to work on shift hours (It is not applicable for applicants for Budapest location)

  • Proven experience with contract creation, negotiations and life-cycle management.

Preferred Experience:

  • Any Retail Asset (equipment purchase and maintenance, construction & maintenance services) category specific experience

  • Previous experience in the Oil&Gas industry and/or industrial environment

  • Experience working in an Ariba / Salesforce / Compass / or any e-sourcing systems.
