Job summary

Responsible for supporting the accurate and timely completion of settlement activities within area of responsibility, using basic technical capabilities to manage accounts receivable and accounts payable invoices, resolve disputes, provide projected cash flows and support business relationships and process improvement opportunities.

Trading Settlements Senior Analyst

If you join our Settlements team, you may have the following responsibilities:
  • Operates the day-to-day Oil Settlements process
  • Accountable for overseeing delivery of silent running, accurate and timely recording of all transactions
  • Reconciling and paying incoming AP invoices, creating recharge invoices where necessary
  • Confirming incoming cash & consolidating to daily cash forecast within tolerance
  • Resolving volume, tax and other disputes in a timely manner
  • Managing re-invoicing workload due to operational data or pricing updates
  • Ensuring all invoices are tax compliant
  • Managing overdue debt
  • Understand and adhere to control and compliance policies
  • Understand the business performance expectations of the team and support the Settlements Team in the measurement and reporting of KPIs for area of responsibility
  • Highlight any gaps or issues and in conjunction with the Settlements Manager, develop, document and implement mitigations
  • Pro-actively seek opportunities to standardize, simplify and automate processes

In the Settlements Senior Analyst role we have the following requirements:
  • Relevant degree
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in finance
  • Understanding of Accounts Payable and Receivable settlement principles
  • Developing and delivering Continuous Improvements ideas
  • Fluency in English
  • Interpersonal skills with particular focus on client responsiveness
  • Customer- and service-oriented thinking
  • Readiness for action and ability to work under pressure
  • Self confident appearance in relations to the internal and external contacts
  • Strong communication and cooperation skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Assertiveness
