Job summary

Are you a woman that has a strong curiosity about learning and using technology? Do you want to help tackle one of society’s most pressing problems: how can we provide energy to the world while being at the forefront of the sustainable energy transition? If your answer to any of these questions is yes, the Women in Digital event may be an opportunity for you to learn about Innovation & Engineering at bp. This event is designed exclusively for university female students who are expected to graduate between December 2022 – May 2024 and gives a deep dive into the world of Digital and Technology in the energy industry. Some of the highlights on the event include:

  • Exploration of bp’s Innovation & Engineering culture
  • Tour the bp Houston campus
  • Growing your network within bp
  • Engagements with female bp executives and current Innovation & Engineering Graduates
  • Learning about the bp Summer Internship and Graduate Development Program

The event will be held at the bp Westlake Houston campus on Friday, August 26th from 8:00 am – 4:30 pm CST.

Application Process:

Complete the online application and if successful, within one month you will be invited to complete a Hirevue virtual interview. Applications will be evaluated based on academic record, virtual interview responses, work experience, proven leadership, community/extracurricular involvement and interest/knowledge of the energy industry.

To be eligible for the event, students must:

  • Currently be studying Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Cyber Security Information Technology, Data Science, or Management Information Systems.
  • Have a minimum cumulative 3.2 GPA
  • Be eligible to work in the U.S. without work authorization now AND in the future
  • Have a graduation date of December 2022 or May 2024
  • Be able to travel to the bp Houston Westlake office for the one day and cover all costs associated with that, as bp will not be covering travel expenses. Parking, breakfast, lunch and snacks will be provided by bp.
