BP shipping, the oldest continuous business unit in the BP group, has been transformed into the marine expertise arm of BP.
Our goal is to provide safe, efficient and environmentally-sound shipping solutions in support of the BP strategy. In this transformation, our data analytics team plays a critical role by providing valuable insights, which can enable extraordinary change. As an apprentice data analyst in the BP shipping data analytics team, you’ll collect, organise and study data to provide business insight. This will include managing data, as well as conducting a range of analytical studies.
You’ll work across a great variety of projects, providing technical data solutions on stakeholder or customer issues. Furthermore, you’ll document and report the results of data analysis activities, make recommendations to improve business performance and work with the management team in prioritising business and information needs.
Among your responsibilities, you’ll include maintaining our data systems, acquiring data from primary or secondary data sources, and reviewing reports and performance indicators to locate and correct code problems.
This is an amazing apprenticeship opportunity, funded by the Education & Skills Funding Agency, an executive agency of the Department for Education.
