Study for a Level 4 commercial procurement and supply apprenticeship, Professional qualification from Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply (CIPS)

 

The CIPS qualification will help you make a real impact in your career. It’s recognised by employers all over the world for producing competent and confident procurement and supply professionals, who can guide and lead their organizations. 

 

Your learning will focus on:

What to expect

On our commercial procurement and supply apprenticeship you’ll enjoy plenty of on-the-job experience, with 20% of your time dedicated to formal learning. This will include core degree activity, as well as access to our own Procurement learning and development resources, to help you develop your technical knowledge and soft skills.

 

You’ll have full support from your apprenticeship training provider and the BP early career programme team – as well as regular structured feedback on your development, progress to date, and next steps. In addition, you’ll be guided at every step by an experienced mentor and buddy.

 

Over the course of the apprenticeship, you’ll be based our GBS Procurement function as part of our global Supply Strategy Innovation team. 

 

You’ll work on a range of projects that will see you:

  • Partner with the stakeholders to drive value in line with the BP strategic agenda.
  • Solve business problems by connecting what the supply market is offering in new and impactful ways .
  • Support the delivery of complex, transformative commercial programmes.
  • Help our business start-ups to grow by working with our new ventures team.

To excel as a procurement professional, you’ll need to bring us:

Recruitment process

  • Online application - this is your chance to show us what motivates you
  • SJQ - a set of untimed questions will look to see how you match up with BP values
  • Online tests - these will check your numerical, verbal reasoning and error checking abilities
  • Assessment centre - a motivation and values-based interview, a group exercise and lunch
  • Offer and feedback - either a firm offer or guidance on how to succeed next time

Requirements

 

You must be 18 or over at start of the programme in September 2020 and have 2 x A Levels in STEM subjects at grade C or above.  We will also consider other relevant level 3 qualifications e.g. apprenticeships or the international baccalaureate.

 

If you’re studying A-levels or completing further education, you must be due to complete your qualification/s in 2020 (we’re unable to progress applications for students who will be part way through their studies when the programme starts).
